Leoness Cellars

Introduction

Located in the rolling hills of Temecula Valley Wine Country in southern California, Leoness Cellars offers a warm and bucolic setting where wine lovers can come and enjoy beautiful views, spectacular wines, and wonderful times with family and friends. Leoness Cellars is not only a popular destination for those looking to spend a relaxing day outdoors, but it has also become a hotspot for weddings, bachelorette parties, and weekend getaways.

To elevate the guest experience to the next level, management undertook a massive renovation. They sought out to integrate and automate all systems in the winery including lighting, water features, and audio, and enable staff to easily control everything from an intuitive custom user interface.

The Technology

Lighting control was a key element of the project. The owners were adamant about enabling staff to control both indoor and outdoor lighting from anywhere using Crestron touch screens and iPad® tablets. The goal was to have a variety of lighting scenes for different times of the day, thereby eliminating the need for them to adjust lights manually. Employing a Crestron CP3 control system and Crestron lighting control solutions, a system was designed that featured automated time-based presets for each day of the week.

Results

The Crestron solution has enabled staff to ensure a luxurious ambiance throughout the winery and provide each guest with a sumptuous experience, while reducing energy costs at the same time. It has eliminated the hassle of managing lighting throughout the day and enabled management to focus entirely on providing exceptional service for its members and guests. The Crestron solution has been so successful that management is planning to expand it into the winery’s event space in the near future.

“Crestron has helped us streamline our day-to-day business operations by providing our winery and restaurant staff with direct and infinite control of lighting, water features, music, and more from an easyto- use user interface”
